Volunteer Opportunities

New Year-round page

We use SignUp.com for volunteer sign ups. We now have a page that will cover all events for the entire school year.
This means current and upcoming events will be listed in one place. No longer need to scroll down a long list.

Currently, only band camp dates are listed. We will be adding football games, competitions, concerts, fundraising events and more as dates are confirmed.

Please note that some opportunities may involve cooking/serving food and we suggest you
acquire a food handlers permit.
You can get yours in about 45 minutes HERE.

Marching Band
instructors & techs

As the marching band (Wildcat Show Band) grows, we are in need of volunteers for individual sections and overall marching/drill teaching. We are the ONLY marching band on the island and would love to offer the students opportunities to strengthen and broaden a variety of skills.

If you have any marching experience and would like to help these students excel and reach their goals, please volunteer!

Help needed for the 2025 marching season.
Band camp starts in August. Please contact us or Mr. Petty directly using email given below.

Color/Winter Guard
Instructors

Do you have experience with Color/Winter Guard?
We are in need of additional volunteers to help with teaching & choreographing all equipment (flag, rifle, sabre) and dance. Skill levels vary, beginning to advanced.

Color Guard competes with the Show Band. Winter Guard is entering their 4th year as a competitive team.

Please use button below to contact Guard staff if you are interested or have questions.

Parent Help at Performances & Competitions

The Wildcat Show Band performs at all home games & two competitions. These performances require a lot of hands to help move equipment on and off the field, getting food/drinks to students and more.

Around 10-15 adults are needed to keep these performances running smoothly. Help from parents or adult community volunteers is greatly appreciated.

What's Involved:

COMPETITIONS
• Set up canopies, seating, tables, food warmers, food, condiments & drinks at camp site
• Help cook or maintain food warmers & serve students
• Stay at camp site during show performances
• Pit crew helps front ensemble on/off the field (lots of walking, pulling, pushing and maybe some running)
• Prop crew gets field props on/off the field  (lots of walking, lifting, pulling, pushing and maybe some running)

FOOTBALL GAMES
• Pit crew helps front ensemble on/off the field (lots of walking, pulling, pushing and maybe some running)
• Prop crew gets field props on/off the field (lots of walking, lifting, pulling, pushing and maybe some running)
• Stands help - keeping band area and pathways clear as needed for band to enter/exit as well as handing out water bottles and providing supervision and help as ready.
