SJMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival

We welcome local community members, alumni, military members & students to volunteer!

Volunteers Needed

We need help to make this event successful & to run smoothly. We are in need of at least 60 volunteers (adults and high school students) to help with this event. OHHS students can earn community service hours. Anyone in the community is welcome to help us as well.

Shift hours are 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the station. Please follow the link below to view and sign up.

FRIDAY, FEB 2

Set up Crew: 4pm-7pm - 3 shifts, 40 needed per shift

SATURDAY, FEB 3
Set up:
7am-9:30am - 17 needed

Room Monitors:
7am-5pm - 5 shifts, 17 needed per shift

Concessions (Adults only):
7:45am-5pm - 3 shifts, 2 needed per shift

Help Desk (Adults only):
7:45am-5pm - 3 shifts, 2 needed per shift

Clean up:
5pm-7pm - 20 needed

Volunteer Requirements

All Adults: Must have a volunteer badge with Oak Harbor School District (read more below)

OHHS Students: OHHS School ID - OHHS students will receive community service hours for the time served at the event.

Volunteer Badges: Oak Harbor School District requires volunteer badges for school events. This ensures the safety of all students. Volunteer badges must be worn anytime you are volunteering on school district property or a school-related event off campus. Applications only takes a few days to process and is valid for 2 years.

You can either download and print the form at home (button below) or pick up a printed forms at the district office. The forms are not available to submit online. More info available HERE at the district's website.
